On Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, August 31, 2024, sponsored by the Little Grass Foundation, Nicole Cheong, Eva Pudiyapura, and Albert Li all went to the shelter for the homeless, Family Supportive Housing. From buying the groceries to making the flyer, to cooking and baking, our team worked tirelessly in order to provide the best meal possible. Our menu consisted of pizza, mashed potatoes, salad, and cookies. For the first ever collaboration between Little Grass Foundation and Family Supportive Housing, we were able to serve more than 40 people for lunch.

The most rewarding part of serving these meals was the feedback we received. Many came up to the counter to thank us for the meal, and some others even came back for seconds, complimenting the food as we put more on the plate.

Our team is so proud to have been able to serve so many families, and we hope to provide more meals soon! Again, Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers Nicole Cheong, Eva Pudiyapura, and Albert Li! Thank you to the Little Grass Foundation’s families for sponsoring this service! We would not have been able to do this without all your help. Lastly, Thank you to Family Supportive Housing for giving our team the opportunity to give back to our community! This unique experience has taught us so many invaluable lessons.

On August 4th, 2024, we hosted our very first annual meeting to celebrate the foundation’s success so far. The meeting consisted of many of our coaches and parents, who are both essential to the success of our foundation. To start the meeting, we celebrated the graduation of our senior coaches as they were about to head off to college. Their dedication and hard work have been instrumental in our success, and we were thrilled to honor their achievements. To appreciate all of our coaches, we gifted everyone a little grass-themed rabbit and bag.

We also introduced new leadership and coaches, a logistical change crucial for expanding the foundation to help a larger community better. The event was a blend of celebration of the past and forward-thinking, setting a positive tone for the future of the Little Grass Foundation. We look forward to many more successful gatherings in the years to come.

We are pleased to announce the exhibition of the painting "Victorian in San Francisco" by Kolya, an adult client at the Morgan Autism Center (MAC), at the Willow Glen Library, where it will be displayed for the next ten weeks. This artwork, acquired at the MAC Starry Night Gala fundraiser, not only captivated us with its detail but also impressed us due to Kolya's remarkable achievement of creating it without his hands. Kolya's painting captures his deep admiration for architecture, blending the intricate details of a historic Victorian house with the vibrant energy of San Francisco. Through his art, Kolya expresses his passion for design and his dream of exploring architectural wonders around the world.

Wanting to spread awareness of Kolya’s talents and the unique powers of autism, the Little Grass Foundation decided to collaborate with the Willow Glen Library,  a place regularly visited by MAC students, to display the painting to the general population. With the help of the library staff, we have secured a spot for this painting so that anyone who is in the library to read books can also learn more about the community with autism, offering the MAC students and all visitors a daily dose of inspiration and education.
